Raspberry Leaf
For centuries, raspberry leaves have been used to treat various health ailments, including providing support for fertility issues. Rather than tasting like raspberries, expect more of a green tea taste from the green-greyish leaves. Raspberry leaves are loaded with nutrients and can be taken throughout the entire cycle when trying to conceive. It has a beneficial effect by strengthening the luteal phase of the cycle (the latter phase) and promotes a strong uterine lining.
Nettle Leaf
Nettle leaf provides a number of benefits, including providing hormonal balance and synchrony, aiding in proper liver function, and supporting healthy iron levels, particularly important for women with irregular or heavier menstruation.
The leaves are also astringent and high in vitamin C, purifying and building immunity.
Chasteberry
Chasteberry has been used since Ancient Greece as a traditional remedy providing relief for conditions affecting the reproductive system. The dried fruit and the leaves have the most potency. Chasteberry delivers fertility benefits by balancing hormones, acting on the hypothalamic-pituitary-ovarian axis (hormonal feedback loop) and alleviating symptoms of PMS and menopause, promoting ovulation and improving timing of the menstrual cycle.
Dandelion Root
Dandelion root is known for its remarkable ability to prepare the body for conception by clearing fertility pathways in two ways. Its primary function encourages bile production and speeds up the elimination of toxins and wastes in the liver, such as hormone disrupting chemicals that negatively affect fertility. Its secondary function is providing the body with essential nutrients needed to optimise fertility.
Shatavari Root
Shatavari root, a member of the asparagus family, has been used for centuries in Ayurvedic medicine for its vast benefits and properties. It aids in the regulation of oestrogen levels thereby promoting regular menstrual cycles, while also supporting fertility as an anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, and anti-depressant. The benefits of age old Shatavari root are grounded in science, by various recent studies, which have identified a new anti-oxidant racemofuran, in addition to the two known anti-oxidants asparagamine A and racemosol.
Motherwort
Motherwort supports fertility by reducing uterine muscle spasm, cramping and improving uterine tone. Motherwort has been found to mildly stimulate the uterus, while also aiding the uterus to work efficiently, maintaining healthy fertility pathways.
